Em tempos onde bandas indie viram DJs de renome e duplas eletrônicas manifestam seu amor por guitarras distorcidas, nada mais natural que uma das maiores bandas de rock do momento lançar um CD mixado para um dos mais antigos clubes da Inglaterra.

E é assim que temos os Klaxons assinando o mais recente volume da série A Bugged Out Mix, que leva o nome da famosa festa inglesa iniciada em 1994. Antes deles, só DJs haviam feito estas compilações, gente como Felix Da Housecat, Ivan Smagghe, Erol Alkan, Miss Kittin e Simian Mobile Disco.

O CD é duplo: um é de festa com o trio new rave botando coisas como Johannes Heil, Luke Vibert, Chemical Brothers e Justice; o outro é "para ouvir em casa" e tem Josef K, Roy Orbison, Blur, Liars e Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. O lançamento está marcado para 1 de outubro pelo selo New State.

Enquanto isso, o primeiro álbum dos Klaxons, Myths of the Near Future, acaba de ganhar o Mercury Music Prize de melhor álbum do ano. O Mercury é hoje o prêmio musical inglês de maior prestígio.
